Emerald green on the Ligurian sea

Umbrellas, sun loungers and deck chairs. When you think about the beach, who doesn’t see, even if only in your mind's eye, the bright colors of beachwear? Whilst solid colors and stripes in bright shades were once all the rage, today you can dare with prints and patterns that, just like clothing, follow the trends and palettes seen on the catwalks. On the most exclusive beaches, the start of the summer season thus marks an overhaul of the beach club “wardrobe.” Let’s think of a good example... I Bagni Fiore in Portofino.

This lido set on two piers in the stunning Paraggi Bay in Portofino was the much-loved haunt of divas such as Maria Callas, Elizabeth Taylor and Brigitte Bardot. And even in the new millennium there is no shortage of bathers who love to savor the atmosphere of the Dolce Vita.

On the most exclusive beaches, the start of the summer season thus marks an overhaul of the beach club “wardrobe.”

Following its debut last year, it is again Dior the name behind the characteristic emerald green Toile de Jouy design for the umbrellas and sunbeds and cushions at the vintage chic beach club for the 2023 season in the heart of the Portofino Natural Park and Marine Protected Area.

This romantic design is dear to the French maison, currently under the creative direction of the very Italian Maria Grazia Chiuri, and is in suitable harmony with the very striking landscapes on the Italian Riviera.  With the ban on boats entering the bay, this place is a veritable paradise overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.

It is the Dior brand that has signed with the characteristic emerald green Toile de Jouy pattern the patterns of parasols and sunbeds and cushions of the vintage chic establishment

Its pink façade gives the observer a sense of peace; the spacious pastel-colored rooms furnished in mid-20th century style are combined in this magical place with a heated seawater infinity pool with an unrivaled view of the coast, irresistible local seafood dishes and traditional Ligurian cuisine.
